SAYING GOODBYE TO 2017 WITH OUR BIGGEST SMILE

If we, at The Bridal Project, had to describe 2017 with a facial expression, our bride and groom Carmen and Diego's faces in the photo above would be the perfect answer. That smiles reflects so many milestones achieved during this year: for our brides, the happiness of getting the wedding gown of their dreams, for ourselves, because we just turned one year since we opened to the public, and last but not least, because we're closing 2017 with pride and beginning 2018 filled with emotion. This is the reason why today, January 1st, we wanted to have Carmen, the first ever bride to buy a dress from The Bridal Project, celebrate something special with us.

THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT OF A PERFECT WEDDING

"Our wedding surpassed all our expectations, when we look back at the photos we are reminded of how incredible it was" - says Carmen from the other side of the telephone from Chile. The one ingredient that made their wedding perfect was all the time they had to organize it: "we were engaged for a long time so we prepared everything very calmly, with care, without any stress".

The story of how they met isn't any less magical. Several friends thought that it would be a good idea for us to attend a wedding together, so they organized a blind date. "A friend told me about Diego, who was also going to the wedding alone. I didn't know him, but we had so much fun, and that's how it all started".

Carmen and Diego got engaged in July 2016, and in September, Carmen had to stay in Miami for three months because of an internship. "First we worked on the biggest things: the date, the banquet, the priest, and the venue. Then, in the distance, the rest: the photographer, the DJ, and of course, my bridal dress".

FROM SEARCHING THE NET TO DISCOVERING "THE BRIDAL PROJECT" IN MIAMI

Like almost every single bride-to-be nowadays, Carmen started her research on the internet. "I had envisioned a bridal gown that was elegant, I liked precious stones, jewels, but not too sparkling, a modern vintage wedding dress" - she tells us.

"My mother helped me a lot, and together we came across Australian designer Anna Campbell, whose style completely marveled us: feminine, elegant, and classic, just like high fashion".

"I visited typical bridal stores in Miami with no luck, and all of a sudden I found The Bridal Project's website. When I saw that they carried Anna Campbell's collection I couldn't believe my eyes. The only problem though, is that they still hadn't opened the store". Behind the scenes, Martina and her team were giving the final touches for the launch of their first boutique. "I started sending e-mails nonstop, I wanted to be the first person to go. In the end I made an appointment, went with a friend, and tried on four or five dresses. The moment I put "Anabella" on, I fell in love with it, I knew it was the one. My dad got so emotional when I showed him".

Carmen says that the most beautiful thing the priest told them was that from now on, we had to dream together, and build together.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SMALL DETAILS

"The hairdo was done by a friend from university, she put crystals in the braids, and an old medal that looked amazing with the dress and its two cap sleeves and their jewels, one of my favorite details about Anna Campbell's designs. The bow, another classic, was among the most commented things between my friends and family about the dress". Carmen assures that such unique and modern vintage wedding dresses are not the norm in Santiago, but she was surprised with the fact that many guests were able to identify the dress as an Anna Campbell creation.

ABOUT THE BRIDAL PROJECT

"I felt so much love from The Bridal Project's team, the boutique is really beautiful, and I had plenty of time to try on the dresses. Martina was present at every stage of the process, even following up after the purchase. I felt the affection and I'm still thankful to this day. By the way, I had no idea I was their first bride until Martina told me recently, what an honor".

The Bridal Project couldn't be happier about this beautiful couple, and we want to thank them for putting their trust in us. To them, and to everyone reading this, happy new year 2018!
